Opening Jpegs

By Zharia ·
I have a prob that I have no idea how to fix, I installed a program that took over all of my jpeg's, when I try to open one it opens the program (which takes ages to load), so I deleted it, now all my gifs and jpeg's are marked by that horrid littleicon that is around whenever windows doesn't know what it is. When I open them it says "cannot find 'PROGRAM'" with browse and cancel availible and as I don't know what to replace it with I cant open any of them. Does anyone know how I can get back to normal running?

Open Windows Explorer, then open the Tools, Folder Options menu. Click on File Types and find the files (jpg, gif, etc.) you want to change. Click Change and select the program that you want to associate with the files. This is on W2K, the procedure is similar on NT4, Win95/98, but might not have the exact step-by-step as above.

Hope that helps,
