Openssl: Need Help

By Arp22 ·
Hi all

i am new to openssl and installed Openssl 0.9.8g in Fedora 7. i am trying to run the examples from John Viega's book on a server and a client bt the following command is giving an error:

# gcc -o s1 server1.o -lssl -lcrypto -lpthread

server1.o: In function `setup_server_ctx':
server1.c.text+0x46): undefined reference to `handle_error'
server1.c.text+0x82): undefined reference to `handle_error'
server1.o: In function `server_thread':
server1.c.text+0x14c): undefined reference to `handle_error'
server1.o: In function `main':
server1.c.text+0x1ec): undefined reference to `init_OpenSSL'
server1.c.text+0x1f1): undefined reference to `seed_prng'
server1.c.text+0x22a): undefined reference to `handle_error'
server1.c.text+0x26d): undefined reference to `handle_error'
server1.c.text+0x2b0): undefined reference to `handle_error'
server1.c.text+0x2ee): undefined reference to `handle_error'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Can any of you please help me on this? There seems to be a linking problem. But how do i fix it? Where should i look for the path to where it is linking?

Thanks in advance!
