OpenVMS “suspend” command for W2K server

My company recently migrated our enterprise system from an OpenVMS platform to Windows 2000 with MKSToolkit. In the old world we relied heavily on using the SUSPEND command to keep certain long running processes from interfering with nightly processing. Is it possible to accomplish the same thing in W2K?
