I have a laptop -Dell Inspiron that was running Windows XP Pro. My son deleted the administrator account by accident. I searched for different ways to recover it, but failed at all attempts. I then decided to install a different version of Windows XP Pro from the disc that came with my home computer. The installation would not complete, I got corrupted files messages. Now I can not do anything. It will not boot in safe mode. All I can get is the setup utility. Is there any way to fix this or am I just going to have to buy a new hard drive? Thanks!
