Operating System Not Found

By robert.vivarelli ·
When I boot the Machine up it will go to a screen that says at the bottom "Checksum Error Default configuration used"
Press F1 to continue or Del for setup
If i press F1 it tells me Operating System Not found.

If I press Del it brings me to the BIOS Setup menu, and I cannot seem to make any changes that help. I have pulled the battery, reset, and changed the battery, nothing has changed though.
Any Ideas?

Bad news

From past experience, I have found usually that means a hard drive failure. Not 100% of the time but a good deal of the time. If your hardware savvy, slave it into another machine and see if you can access the files. if you can then the drive should still be good. If not then it died. Hope you back up your stuff regularly.
