Hello all and thanks in advance for your help . . .
I have a client that is running NT4 servers and now has a company coming in to install the latest ACT version. They have requested that we disable OppsLock on the PDC. I have two questions:
1. - How do I do that?
2. - What are the risks associated.
A search opf technet comes up with nothing and I have stupidly "archoved my old Technet subscription CD's.
Thanks

I've heard of Oppotunistic Locking in Netware Clients, but never in a Windows server. I have no idea what OppsLock even is, never mind how to disable it.
I'd risk looking silly and ask the software mfr. what the heck they mean and how to do it.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
