Question

Locked

Optical Mouse Problem

By dranjithk ·
Hi Everyone,

Everytime I release my left mouse button after peroforming a click and drag action, the mouse is "sticking". In other words, say, when I select a line of text by clicking and dragging, and when I release the left mouse button, it appears as if the click and drag action is still not completed, even though the mouse button is released. After that, When i move my mouse on the page without clicking, it continues to select more text in the page. Can someone help me? I dint install any new software... I remember changing the mouse sensitivity a couple of weeks back and there started the problem.

'Click lock' when you changed your sensitivity? If so, that should be disabled.

Nah, not dumb.

I use click lock a lot when doing word processing tasks. It makes life a little easier. But, being human, I sometimes forget to turn it off, as well as that I had it on, and get all irked when my mouse is doing those click lock things! We have our days, don't we?

Thanks for remembering to give the thumb!

Maybe you accidentally turned on 'Overwrite' as an 'Insert' option...

It's not actually ON the mouse options page, but I've seen it invoke itself occasionally when you alter mouse settings.

I suggest you take Jacky Howe's advice, and change the settings back.
