Our organization has transitioned to a centralized database, consolidating all branch data into one system. This update to a new software system has significantly disrupted our workflow. The change was abrupt and has made it very challenging and stressful to adapt to the new working environment.

Optimising a tech refresh

To optimize the process’s effectiveness, it’s critical to consider both the advantages and disadvantages of a tech update. Here’s a quick observation to think about:
One of the highlights of a recent tech update was using new hardware and software to improve productivity and streamline procedures. We were able to enhance user experience and support contemporary apps as a result. The management of downtime throughout the change, ensuring a smooth data migration, and educating personnel on new systems posed issues, nevertheless. Experts from Intel would be welcome to provide best practices for striking a balance between utilizing cutting-edge technology and causing the least amount of interruption to regular business processes.

As for the recent change in the technological infrastructures, its successful actualization did not pose relevant problems, whereas compatibility of new devices with existing systems appeared critical to handle. We also faced some challenges with the training of new users on the adapted features of applications.
For Intel experts, we’d like to know: how should we proactively reduce the organization’s downtime guaranteed during a tech refresh cycle, and what strategies should be employed in dealing with application upgrades in conjunction with hardware refresh?
