Option to format content control field for US phone numbers in MS Word 2019
Hi All,
I’m wondering if there is a formatting option in Microsoft Word 2019 to format a content control field for phone numbers, all I see for options are, rich and plain text, among others, but no phone number. I know this can be done in Excel so I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t give us the same feature in Word.
A little background, I’m making a simple fillable fax cover sheet in Word for my entire company to utilize. I would like for my end users to be able to just tab their way through the fields and have those be auto-formatted for them, ie; phone numbers, date, capital letters at the first letter of every word, etc. this will increase efficiency in sending faxes, something we unfortunately still have to do in our line of business. Anyways, I’m able to do all the content control formatting I need except for phone numbers!
This really stumps me, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
BONUS POINTS: if any one knows a way I can build a macros or something to automatically import their email signature from outlook to the bottom of the fax cover sheet!
Thanks in advance,
Jason
