We are trying to install Oracle 8.1.7 on a Dell 2400/733 w/36GB RAID. The OS is WinNT4 w/SP6a. The install goes fine, but when we restart, the Oracle services won’t start. The event log says that access was denied. How can this be if the Oracle services are running as system services?
