Hi,
I am using IIS from server. But I was working Oracle in C:\Oracle\Ora82\bin\sqlplus.
It was not helping to connect.
So, then the Oracle Client was installed in my PC.Again the problem happened.
If I Install oracle client in server machine, can I able to connect oracle with asp.net.If it is possible how to connect?
Thanks in Adavnce

As I understand you have installed the IIS on one server and the database on another server
1. Install the client software.
2. The TNS_ADMIN variable should be pointing to the
directory where the tnsnames.ora file is, usually ORACLE_HOME\network\admin.
3. Check that PATH includes the ORACLE_HOME\bin directory.
4. Update the tnsnames.ora file with the remote
database definition. Use the supplied oracle tool for easy config. You have to know the instanc e name and the server name/ip adress.
Test the connection using odbc test or sqlplus.
