I’m facing problem while starting up Oracle8.
In svrmgr30 when I Startup with Mount Option Database is mounted.
But as soos as i’m opening the DB it giving
Dr.Watson Error:-
“An application error has occurred
and an application error log isbeing generated.”
“Oracle80.exe”
Exception: (0xc000001e), Address: 0x0100e18e.
It is giving this error since NT4.0 run chkdsk and found bad block. However Nt detected & fixed/moved
the files from the bad block to other cluster.
filesthat were moved from bad block are:-
1. pagefile.sys,
2. one lotus domino help file,
3. one old Oracle archive file,
4. one oracle pls804.dll file.
While NT-4.0 & Lotus Domino R-5 is running ok, but not Oracle8.0.4.0.
Instance is starting, service is starting, but Database is not opening.
My Oracle8 is in archivelog mode.
Pls. help me. it’s urgent…!!!
