      Re: orange LED

If the meaning of the orange LED isn’t explained in the user manual, or in the documentation found at dell.com, their customer service might be able to tell you. But since it’s more than 10 years old, it’s possible it’s no longer supported.

And since it’s more than 10 years old, it’s very likely repair will be impossible or too expensive. So I’m afraid it’s time to start thinking about a replacement.
If that’s the case, take out the hard disk with all your data before bringing it to the recycling.

Given the age and cost of repair.

I’d start shopping. Refurb to keep the cost down. For example I lucked into this one:
      https://computers.woot.com/offers/lenovo-m92-intel-i5-tower-desktop-2

That was 150USD to my door and what it replaced was much older.

Here the minimum counter fee is … 150USD so I consider this a fine fix.

If you want to repair what you have, consider that the orange light and dell discussions are plentiful but many don’t want to risk spending that much to repair that old a PC.

I will suggest trying the below steps:
      1. Disconnect any external peripherals
      2. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
      3. Reconnect the power supply.
      4. Now check the system
