organisational structures for IT departments

By saleem.ismail ·
Where can I get some samples of how IT departments are structured. More interested in medium size organisations where company size is about 1500 people and IT staff are about 150.

The structure should be aligned with the business. There are all different types. You could do hieararchical (sp?) or flat line based. You can do project based, you can do a lot of different things to setup your IT organizations.

The primary thing you need to remember is to align it with the business to provide the best support and efficiency. Becareful about establishing too many walls between the staff and the resources to achieving results.
