This is my first post here so thank you for allowing my membership and also please feel free to move this topic to the correct thread if there is somewhere better for it to live.
I have just purchased a PowerEdge 1855 which came without an OS on it. I am trying to install an OS but having great difficulty getting the blade to recognise my external CD drive. The drive connectivity light goes on and off when the blade is rebooted so it is being seen in some capacity and also when I run one of the diag tests it says that there is a device connected to USB1. But in the setup I do not see it as a device that I can tell the bios to boot from.
Any advice would be welcomed.
