Out Of Office error.

I've got users that face the following error "Your Out of Office settings cannot be diplayed, because the server is currently unavailable, please try again later" with out of office when they try to enable it through outlook.

using exchange 2007 for archiving and a 3rd party mail server. i've tried various method but it doesn't seem to resolve the issue; i've tried adding registry, tried adding in WinHttpAuth in the registry change its value to 1, reboot the server but still unable to resolve the issue. is it possible the cert on exchange will casue this to happen ?

some kind souls please advice.

One Work Around

I had this issue several times. One way to deal with this is to uninstall Outlook and reinstall it. Make sure to reboot after the uninstall. Another way that I've heard is to export the mailbox from Exchange, delete the User, setup the user as a new user, and then import the mailbox. The best way I found is using the OWA to set the Out of Office. That was the solution I used to get around this error.
