Out of Synch

by steve.keiper . Updated 25 years, 9 months ago

Is it possible to turn off the Windows 2000 clock synchronization feature? Win 2K seems to have a built in feature that forces Win 2k Pro workstations to automatically synchronize their clocks to the current time on the domain controllers. I test software and need to change the time and date on my workstation frequently to simulate date sensitive scenarios. When I do this, I can no longer get access to resources on servers because I am out of synch with the domain controller time. It is not an option for me to change the domain controller times to match my workstation simulated environment as I will disrupt other users. I need to find a way to turn this synching feature off so that I can independantly configure the time on the workstation and still access server resources. To compound things, any time I reboot the workstation, it will automatically synch in time with the domain controllers. Any ideas are appreciated. thanks.
