I have a NT 4.0 network running on twisted pair. We recently started running an aplication that uses SQL 7.0 as its backend. The front end is a program put out by Sequest Technologies called Tier. Tier is a Totally Integrated Electronic Record type program. Anyway, our base machine is a P166, 64 mgs of ram and a 6 gig hard drive with plenty of room running windows 98 with all the currents patches, etc. The Sql server machine is a PIII with 256 mgs of ram and a 10 gig hard drive. It’s a member server only and is only used for this application.
All my users start getting “out of system resources” errors after just 15 minutes in the program. Even those running PII 350’s with 128 mgs of ram.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
