I work for a SME with around 1,000 employees and we’re looking for a change and outage management solution.
I’ve done some research and there seems to be very little out there that specifically covers our needs.
We’re after a system that allows us to log planned outages with the details of changes being made and the recovery process if it fails, notify the relevant staff that systems won’t be available, and report on the outcomes. We are distributed across the country, so something that can be used from anywhere is needed.
It should allow an authorization process to be set up so certain people have to sign off on an outage before it is allowed to take place. Different types of outage will have different people who are responsible.
Ideally, it would also provide an overview of which systems are going to be down over the next day/week/month for management and historical reporting for KPIs.
Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?
