    Outllok 2000 and PAB

I have a Inspiron 3500 laptop with windows 98 and Office 2000 SR1a loaded. The files from another install were copied to the laptop (.ost,.pst and a few other files that had the favorites and such ). When I put a contact in the Personal Address Book it is saved to the Contacts list. How can I fix this so that I can add names to the personal address book.

    Thanks!

Hi..Try checking in services (tools, services. Or control panel, mail.) Look in the addressing tab and check the “Keep personal Addresses in” box, make sure it says Personal address book.

      Right click Outlook icon,
      Click Add,
Scroll Down & select “Personal Address Book”,
      Click “ok”
Browse to your address book (.pab) or the file you want to keep it in – I would suggest keeping it with your Mailbox (.pst) file,
      Click OPEN,-Apply,-ok,-ok,
      Open Outlook,
      Click Tools,- Services, – Addressing,
Make sure “Keep Personal Contacts in;” says “Personal Address Book”,
      Click Apply,- ok,
      You’re Done!!!
