Outlook 200 on SBS server

By cococs ·
Just upgraded to Out2000 on SBS and one out of twenty users cannot "see" their mailbox. In other words, on Exchange Server properties on the client machine, when I type in the exchange server name and user mailbox name and click, check name, Outlook hangs and the mailbox is not found. What could be wrong. Client is a win98 box.

More than likely it's a resolution issue, Depending on how your setup ie, DHCP supplies the DNS , I would recommend turning off DNS in the TCP/IP network configuration and creating a hosts file with your exchange servers IP address and the name of the exchange server. Put it in your windows directory(you don't have to reboot to create a hosts file), if you've never made one look at the hosts.sam file. This is actually a common problem and overlooked when converting or upgrading clients.
