Outlook 2000 - Authentication

By jbertini ·
I would like to double-click the Outlook icon and have it dial-up the server without asking me for another password. I'm not using authentication when I log into the computer so it is not passing it when I try to connect to the exchange server.

Outlook 2000 - Authentication

by Poettone In reply to Outlook 2000 - Authentica ...

Im not sure your problem here but I do know that if you logon to a domain you are required to authenticate. If you are on a system at home you will be required to logon more than once to verify that you are you. On your home pc you are not using a server to logon to so it will give you the family logon, not server security. When you dial up to get your mail it has to see who you are hence the term password. If you arent using any kind of authentication on your server then you are posing a greatsecurity risk to all involved. I wish you luck on this.
