We recently installed Office Service Pack 2 on several machines running Office 2000. Now these machines will not accept a number of “unsafe” attachments. Microsoft does not support “undoing” any of the patches made by the service pack. This is also a problem with Outlook 2002.
I have tried to patch the Outllib.dll and Outllibr.dll files from sp1 over the top of the sp2 files. This fixes the attachment problem, but it also causes Outlook to become unstable.
anyone have any suggestions on work arounds for this issue?
