We imported address books from Lotus Organizer 2.1 into Outlook 2000, and marked “Do not allow duplicates to be imported”. Now, however, when going into another user’s folder and paste the contact. Then click on Save and Close, instead of giving youthe Update existing contact information like its supposed to do, Outlook 2000 creates a duplicate contact in another user’s folder. What settings do I need in order to ensure that when I paste a contact’s information it will always prompt to update existing information, instead of creating a duplicate? (Find does not work when in another user’s folder so I cannot search for the contact before pasting it into the folder to save) ? The contact name and the company name are spelled exactly the sameway.
