Outlook 2000 gets “Illegal Operation”

by hmccarty . Updated 25 years, 7 months ago

PC has an Intel board, processor & 128MB Intel memory.

Running Windows 98 second edition
MS Office 2000 Prof

Problem: User gets the “Illegal Operation” when in Outlook. There are no device conflicts or errors. I Re-installed Windows and Office 2000 then installed the latest Windows and Office 2000 updates. I ran INBOX repair tool and even created a fresh mailbox. I have ran Norton System Works, ScanDisk and Defrag.

The only thing this client does “non-standard” is to use Word as his email editor. I turned this off and he still had the problem.

Anyone have any suggestions?
