Outlook 2000 high CPU utilization

I have a Win XP SP2 desktop, using Outlook 2000 and IE7. Taskbar shows high CPU utiliztion during startup and typing messages on Outlook is terribly slow and annoying. I removed Security Update 933566, have no Outlook Addin’s. What next? This is driving me nuts. This pretty much started around the time I upgraded to IE7.
