I have a computer system running Win ME with Office 2000 Professional SR-1 with SP2 loaded.
Seems that the first instance that the client looks for email on the internet using Outlook 2000, she has to reinput her password. Checking the remember password box has no effect. If we exit Outlook 2000 and run it again, same thing happens.
We have tried reinstalling/repairing Office 2000, installing the SP2 update, overwriting (through installing) Windows ME, and looking in the registry for faulty entries pertaining to her password lists.
I am at a loss as to what could be the problem and a ‘clean’ install would take most of 2 days to complete. Anyone know of anything else I can try before doing this?
