Outlook 2000 opening fwded attachments

I’ve used Notes for some time, and made the switch to Outlook about 4 months ago, just because I’m about to graduate from college, and I wanted to become greatly familiar with another e-mail package. One annoying trait I’ve come across is that whenan attachment is forwarded from a string of forwards, I need to open an attachment file in a winodws for EACH forward that had taken place.

For example, if John forwards an image to Mary, and she forwards it to Mike, he forwards it to Jim, and he forwards it back to Mary, and Mary sends it to me – things get crazy.

Besides that fact that it looks like Mary’s been hanging out with me, Mike, and Jim behind John’s back, I finally open up the e-mail, click on the paper clip, then a windows opens with an attachment from Jim to Mary (et al.), and then another window after that for a forward from Mike to Jim, and so on, until I reach the original message sent from John to Mary.

Is there any way I can make a change so the attachmentappears in only one window? I’ve noticed this is even worse with Outlook Express 6.0.
