Microsoft has stated that the file size limit is 2gig for Outlook .pst file. Problem is when the size exceeds, the whole .pst file will become corrupted. Rendering the whole file useless, in the sense that it cannot be opened anymore and nothing canbe done on it. Since the .pst files were there in the first place for archiving purposes, isn’t it worrisome that an archive file actually has a file size limit? And fails to work when it gets exceeded? I know there are some companies that can work around that when it becomes corrupted but they charge hefty prices for restoration work. Furthermore security for your e-mails are compromised when you release your e-mails to external sources? Is there any way to overcome this problem besides askingevery user in the office to check their size of their own .pst file? Do you even know what is the size of your own .pst file? Help needed thanks.
