After hitting reply the curser indicates Outlook is working. But when I try to do anything in Outlook nothing happens. When I try to close Outlook nothing happens. I then have to use Cont/Alt/Del and use then I can close the program. This could be the result of a virus that came from a family member. Up till that moment iv'e had no problems with Outlook. Can it possibly be from a setting in Outlook 2000 that prevents me from sending a reply? Can anyone offer suggestions for a non computer expert??

Sounds like your .pst file has hit it's maximum limit size. Try going to "file" then "New" then "personal folder" .pst You may end up with multiple inboxes/sent/contacts/etc, but you can figure that out later after you get outlook working again.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
