Outlook 2000 stops when attempting to send a reply.

By CheshireCastle ·
After hitting reply the curser indicates Outlook is working. But when I try to do anything in Outlook nothing happens. When I try to close Outlook nothing happens. I then have to use Cont/Alt/Del and use then I can close the program.
This could be the result of a virus that came from a family member. Up till that moment iv'e had no problems with Outlook. Can it possibly be from a setting in Outlook 2000 that prevents me from sending a reply?
Can anyone offer suggestions for a non computer expert??

Sounds like your .pst file has hit it's maximum limit size. Try going to "file" then "New" then "personal folder" .pst You may end up with multiple inboxes/sent/contacts/etc, but you can figure that out later after you get outlook working again.
