Outlook 2002

Outlook 2002 will not open *.pdf file attachments. I have Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 installed, I reinstalled Outlook 2002. This is on Windows 2000. At first, Outlook was trying to open *.pdf files with Windows Media Player. I uninstalled media player, now *.pdf files will not open at all. Any ideas?
