Outlook 2003 Cached Exchange Mode

By cliffpritchard ·
I am having a problem occur for a user that has Outlook 2003 configured for Cached Exchange Mode. We are running Exchange 5.5 SP6a. What happens is that the user will go on the road for a week and not connect to the Exchange server (use OWA for keeping up on email). When they arrive back at the office, there is the expected performance lag as his (large) mailbox syncs. The problem occurs after or during the syncronization. Outlook will display email upto a certain date but nothing after. Turn off Cached mode, the mail shows. Turn cached mode back on, the mail disapears. He does have an administrative assistant as a delegate on his mailbox and Microsoft includes some caveats for performance using Cahed Exchange Mode and delegates but I can't find anything about the disapearing and reapearing items in the in box. Any one have any clues?
