Outlook 2003 cannot display inbox, calendar or tasks

I removed an email account (exchange) and added a POP email account. I tested the POP account and email was received. When I returned to Outlook today the inbox was empty, before deleting and adding the email accounts it had several messages. Also, my primary calendar was set as calendar (2) and would not display in Outlook Today. The same thing happended to Tasks, with the previously displayed Tasks identified as Tasks (2). How do I find the other email left in my inbox and reset Outlook Today to show the calendar and tasks I want?
