Outlook 2003 drop down menu close after a few seconds

I have started having trouble with my outlook 2003 it has gotten slow and also when I click a drop down menu it appears for a couple of seconds and then closes by itself. I have checked everything but noting seems to be wrong. I also checked for viruses and none were found. Can someone help me.
