Outlook 2003 email names list

Hi,

I have outlook 2003, when I create a new message and type a name or part of a name in the to: field it brings up a list of everyone that matches, however if i click on the to: button and bring up the address list the name is not in there. My question is where does outlook save the names of people that i can see by typing a few letters and not by clicking the to: button? Sorry if I’m not making much sense, but essentially its as if outlook has address book info stored in one place and the names of people i’ve emailed to in another. Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.
