Outlook 2003 hanging

By morecowbell ·
User has issues with Outlook hanging and locking up. This user has had upgrades in a unit and new hdd, and still complains that Outlook is slow. We have monitored what apps are in use and how large pst files get, and still the use has issue. Any ideas?

Where to begin....?

I'm sure you have gone over the basics with the user.... If you have 10 word apps running 5 excel spreadsheets opened and 10 different web pages... Your PC is going to run slow...

You could try and run "disk cleanup" then defrag. and after that run chkdsk... as a start..

Have you uninstalled, deleted all the directores left over, and reinstalled?

you could always try running spybot S&amp (my Fav)... there could be spyware and other junk running in the background...

Also you could check how much ram they have... up grade that, that would be a huge help...
