Outlook 2003, How to force a msg to delete from the Server?

By JohnGreer ·
On the Internet E-mail Settings tab, I have the following selected:

Delivery:
Leave a copy on message on server (checked)
Remove from server after 7 days (checked)
Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'

I've noticed that things do really disappear from the server once deleted
and emptied from the 'Deleted Items' folder. (This is a good thing).

I would like to know how to otherwise delete from the server.

I've noticed that:

If I move a message from one folder to another, they still appear on the
server.
If I move a message from one file (PST) to another, they still appear on the
server.

Is there any other way, other than an actual delete, to remove the message
from the server?

the leave a copy on the server. That is the only way I know and it will remove the message from the server when it downloads to the client.

Sorry, you're missing the point.

I want it to stay on the server if I leave it in my inbox, but I want it deleted from the server if I move it out of my inbox.

So far, the only way I see it deleting from the server is if I DELETE it, not MOVE it.
