Outlook 2003 will only open in Safe mode

By salcuri3 ·
When I try to open Outlook 2003 a Microsoft box appears telling me there was an error bwhen it opened the previous time and whether I won't to notify Microsoft of this error. Regardless of whether I say yes or no to this I can then only open Outlook in Safe mode. Are there any suggestions of how I can fix this? I've tried reisnatlling Office with no luck!

Since the earth cooled, or were you up to something a short while ago -- like, just before this started happening -- that you are not saying?

I haven't installed any add-ons that I'm aware of. How would I know or check to see if I have?

Well...

Self-consultation might work, if you are in possession of your self.

If you are not (looks through script), I can't help you.

Well, probably not add-ons, then.

That tells you where to look.

To further the investigation, tell us exactly the full text of the error message you get when starting Outlook.

Have you tried "Detect and Repair" from the Help menu?

Thanks. It worked!

Thanks so much for your help. I tried the detect and repair option and it worked! However it meant that I had to reload all the settings and now I can't seem to get Outlook to link up to my address book. I know where the address book is stored but I can't see the file when I go to that directory. Any ideas?
