Hi.
Outllok 2007 stopes when downloading messages from the Exch2003 svr. Runs cached mode.
Backgound… appologies for the length but a few days of history…
A client of mine has an SBS2003 environment, all XP pro. Exchange 2003 and outlook 2003. Current SP’s and using the IMF – but they also use the junk e-mail lists…
Recent addition was a windows Vista Business box with MSO2007 – Outlook 2007.
All was well for a few months. Then all got the error – unable to add to junk e-mail server lists – exceeded size.
Followed the sparse articles on this – HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeI S\ParametersSystem
Value: Max Extended Rule Size
Type: DWORD
Data: maximum size, in bytes, you want to allow for the junk e-mail rule
etc.
Also had all users clear out the blocked senders lists in there outlook 2003.
All OK for the oultook 2003 users.
The outlook 2007 stops working. Currently when downloading the mail messages from the exchange server.
Have run the MSO diagnostics – no issues. Checked the OST – no issues detected. Renamed the OST – ran as /firstuse. Ditto on del of olmapi32.dll. Failed again. Cleared the Archive. Ran with the the /safe switch. Allowed me to get to junk email (kill 3955 of them) clear all lists – but as soon as started to download the message – stops again. Deleted the account/profices, set up again – ditto.
Always fails when downloading the messages from the server.
OWA works fine so client is using OWA as temp workaround.
Any insights greatly appreciated. Will post the error messages if needed – but fairly generic ID 1000 message in module outlook.exe.
Cheers,
