Outlook 2010 sends out emails and not meeting requests (IMAP)

When I sending a meeting request to someone out of the office they get an email and not the meeting request.
There is no time or date in that email, just the message that was put in the meeting request. I have reinstalled office installed SP1 and still the same thing. Is there anyone that can advise me on what to do next.
