Outlook 97 disappears?

by bmckenzie . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

This has happened to two of my users, but I have not been able to duplicate it, so it may be hard to answer off-hand.

When running MS Outlook 97 (one has Windows 98, the other has Windows 2000), the program will suddenly disappear. All the open windows go away. When they tried to click on the shortcut to Outlook on their desktops, nothing happened. I was called over, and I checked the Task Manager to see if Outlook was running. It did not show under Programs, but under Processes Outlook.exe was running. I then went to reboot, and right before rebooting all the Outlook windows appeared again briefly, so Outlook was running in the background but was somehow minimized or hidden in such a way that it did not appear in the Task bar or thePrograms section of Task Manager. Any ideas?
