If the dustribution list is one that was created by the e-mail administrator, you will need to put a call in to the help desk. Are the Contacts group in your personal contacts? You can try to create your own distribution list in your personal contacts using names and addresses from the global list and naming the group you create "secretaries." This would only have to be done once. Put a # sign at the beginning of the group name to keep it at the beginning of your contacts list if it's rather long. To create the list, while in contacts folder go to File, New, Distribution List. Name the group (#Secretaries). Select members--this should offer you the global list as well as your own individual contacts. Good luck.

Make sure that wherever the list is stored (Personal Address Book, Contacts, Global Address List), that that source is listed under your Addressing Services: Tools menu, Services, third tab is Addressing. At the bottom of that window is a box thatsays "When sending mail, check names using these address lists in the following order:" If the source with the list doesn't appear, click Add to insert it.
