Outlook 98 not adding names to address b

by san . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

I had Outlook 98 (Internet/E-mail only, no Exchange) installed on a desktop, running smoothly. Ever since I removed MS Project 98 from this computer, Outlook stopped resolving or adding names to the Windows Adddres Book.

First, I lost my entire WAB. Now, when I add a Contact to Outlook, it does not get automatically replicated into the .WAB. And every option I try to check to resolve the problem is greyed out (The Windows Addres Book does not let me check the option to share contacts with Outlook, and the Outlook Contact Folder Properties does not let me check the option to turn it into an e-mail address folder). The only thing that “works” so far is to manually add a contact to the Addres Book.

I need a solution both to make Outlookadd contacts automatically into the Windows Address Book, and get all of my Outlook contacts back into there.
