Outlook Calendar - details visible

By taylor.rick ·
We are have a number of users that are able to view details of other users calendars, even if they have no rights to that calendar, which has been verified.

We are using Exchange Server 2003 with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 clients.

We've checked rights and looked for anything, anywhere that could be causing this.

Any suggestions?

Delegates tab

by Ron-Tech In reply to Outlook Calendar - detail ...

Have you looked within Outlook: Tools --> Options --> Delegates tab and made sure there are no permissions set within there that are not appropriate?

In Outlook 2007 I have found it keeps the permissions settings there even for non-delegates who just want access to a calendar or contacts...

Did you check rights on outlook or exchange?

by BizIntelligence In reply to Outlook Calendar - detail ...

Delegates option only allow user to send email on behalf of mailbox. So it shouldn't matter. But you can try.

If you have already check rights on Exchange Server then in outlook (2003 or 2007) you must go to Calendar > Right click on calendar > Properties > Permission
By default anonymous user should have set to NONE and Default should have set to Free/Busy. If you have other users there then delete them.

Also, check Planner Options in Outlook at Tools > Options > Calendar Options > Planner options

Good Luck
