outlook calender to web

By bcheng1877 ·
I'm trying to put a shared calendar, contact list, and address book from Outlook to be on the internet where people are able to log on and access it. I have the Information Server setup, but don't know where to go from there. A ISP host my website and email. Please offer guidance, sites, or books for this. This is for exchange 5.0 if it matters.

Outlook Web Access was not initially supported untill Exchange 5.5 / IIS server 4.0 NT sp2. and even then you can not see a public - group contact folder / calendar / etc. (it was just not supported)

But finally in Exchange Server 2000 which onlyruns on Windows 2000 server / IIS 5.0

Outlook web is fully functional from the start of the install -- slick -- easily and best of all -- it allows you to create group calendars, multiple contact folders, team disscussion groups.

I know it means a significant $ investment. But from a cost of man hours alone, it is well worth the cost of upgrading to Exchange server 2000 (which will allow you to import all your 5.O mailboxes etc).

Lastly, host your own email and website.
1. domain names cost at the most $35/year.
2. Static IP address via DSL cost $89/month for 128k.

If you need any further assistance.
Contact me.
