Outlook client displays logon box

By EPAIT ·
Hi,

I one user out of 50 that has to access Outlook/Exchange 2000 from an XP Pro PC Sp1 that gets a "login box" displayed when trying to access Outlook 2002/Exchange/email. My network is Win2k SP3 using AD. Outlook settings are set to "authenicate via netwwork ". I found an article stating how to turn the logon box on by setting athenication to "none" in avanced properties in Outlook. I checked these settings on the problem PC and they are set for authenication. I ghosted this PC from another PC and the other PC does not have any problems. I have uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled with the same problem. Does anyone know what I need to look for in the registry to delete so I can correct this problem?

thanks,
Rob

This message only appears when a user is not authenticated on the network. So be sure that this user connected to domain (not to the local pc). Try to setup is profile to another pc if it?s working I suggest you to delete his local profile on his pc. Also did you try to use your user on that machine and setup Outlook? Was it working?
