    Outlook crashes Windows 98

    I have this error when using Outlook 200. Krnl386.exe 0001:000197. I’ve tried to re-install Office 2000 and IE, but this problem still ocurr. Any suggestion?

      I would load the service pack for windows 98 first and see if this helps.
      You can also reboot your system and prior to the desktop being brought up either at the splash screen or after your login prompt hold down the shift key and this will stop any programs in your startup running, than try and run Outlook.
      Also close all the aplications that are running on your taskbar and see if any of these are conflicting.

      This error is in reference to memory in the configuration at atartup that may have a corrupt file,
      At Start-up,boot into safe mode and then select the step by step configuration,then you will want to select (Y) to each line that applies,when you get to the line that refers to Memory 386,use the high memory and select (y) to this line also.
      This may also happen when you have low memory to run your machine,but you did not mention the amount of memory you have in system
      Check the boot.ini file to see if high memory is enabled.
