    Outlook Custom Shortcut Keys

    Locked

    by sakil ·

A question from our Help Desk: A secretary has multiple calendars and would like to use short cut keys to create an appointment pathed to a particular calendar or a particular contact list. Can this be done?

Ex. Ctrl+Shift+C takes the user to a new contact card in their own private contacts. Can it be changed to a new contact card in the VP’s contact list?

    Thank you.

Use a keyboard remapping utility to define the hotkey to do exactly what you want. We use HotKeys to define lengthy key combinations. For example, to open another user’s folder with Outlook 2000, your keystrokes are: Alt+F O O. Add to that their user name and C for calendar and whatever else you want to do. Assign that macro to any key combination, even overwrite ones used by the application.
