By Baaaruuuce ·
Greetings,

I have an employee that needs to put a Outlook Data File on his out look, we will call him John. John needs to have Mr. Fox's Outlook Data file, but it will not import.

It is around 1.9gb, but I have followed steps such as trying o archive and running a inbox repair tool.

Here is what the repair tool says:

Fatal Error: 80040834

I installed, and used, pst2gb to compress the file, but after running yet another inbox repair - same result.

After running that, and just trying again for the heck of it it will says that "the file (fileName).pst is not copatible with this version of the PErsonal Folders information service. Contact your administrator.

On another forum, it suggested that I try using a program that comverts ost - pst, but that didn't take either.

I am not even sure if this was in Outlook 2000 or not. I have never came accross this and I am at my wits end.

You all have been so helpful in the past. Any segustions would be greatful!

Thanks,

Bruce
