Download Pictures

Thanks for your info but I have been reading around the internet and it seem that "Outlook" doesn't display pictures in the e-mail message.
Maybe I should have been more clear when I posted my original message.
I have always had the Picture download box unchecked but they still don't display in the body of the message the way they do in Outlook Express.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for you input.

Any luck? Same problem in Outlook 2007

by jimerman In reply to Download Pictures

I upgraded from XP (2002) to 2007, and migrated from Outlook Express to Outlook at the same time. Now, whenever I pick "Download pictures" or turn the option on, the menu goes away, but the pictures don't display. I did find a macro for opening the message in a web browser, that helps, but why doesn't it work in Outlook? (http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/wordhtml.htm)

Outlook 2007 Trust Center

by peervanwyk In reply to Any luck? Same problem i ...

You can enable this setting on TOOLS -> Trust CENTER -> Automatic Donwload.

MS seems to have moved everyting of use to the Trust Centre. So if you can't find something... Look in the Trust Center.

Automatic In Mail Picture Display

by tommy.sperms In reply to Download Pictures

HI,

I understand exactly your point as I also miss the same feature when I migrated from OE to Outlook. Now I'm already in v2010 after using 2003 and 2007. There were improvements, but quite much the same on this. In case you find any solution or tip, please let me know.

All the best.

How I Displayed Pictures in Outlook 2003 Email

by NonDescriptGuy In reply to Outlook: Display pictures ...

Go to Tools - Options - Security - Download Pictures - Change Automatic Download Setting, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread. However, the correct options do not appear doing this through the open email menu. It MUST be done through the main Outlook Mail/Inbox screen.

De-select the "download pictures or other content automatically in HTML email?" option. Select OK > OK.

This didn't work

by support In reply to Outlook: Display pictures ...

We are still experiencing this issue. I have followed this procedure as well as deleted the OutlookSecureTemp directory as advised in other postings. I did get the pictures once and then they went back to the red X. Any new ideas on this?
